Each entrant 16+ years or older must enter themselves, using their own unique email address. Participants under 16- must have a parent or guardian approve of their entry on their behalf.
To register we require one team member to register as the team captain, and the other team member/s to then join the team.
Step One: Team Captain Registration. When registering as team captain, you will be required to create a team name.
Step Two: Team Member Registration. All members running must be registered as a team member.
If you need to withdraw you can choose to either refund your entry or transfer your entry to someone else, as per the transfer and refund policies below
REFUND YOUR ENTRY
Entry fee refund requests submitted up until midnight Sunday 15 December 2019 will receive 50% refund of their entry fee.
Entry refunds requested from Monday 16 December 2019 to midnight Sunday 26 January 2020 will receive 25% of their entry fee.
Withdrawal requests submitted from Monday 27 January 2020 will not receive a refund, and no roll over entries are available in any circumstances. Requests for refunds must be notified to the organisers via email@example.com
TRANSFER YOUR ENTRY
Participants can transfer their race entry to someone else until 5pm, Thursday 5 March 2020 using the approved transfer process. No transfers will be accepted after this date. Requests for transfer must be notified to the organisers via firstname.lastname@example.org
It is not permitted to transfer your race entry to someone else other than through this process, including on Race Day.
It is very important for health and safety reasons for us to know the correct identity of every athlete on course, and accordingly it is strictly prohibited to race under another person's race bib.
It is not possible to transfer your entry to someone else to a different event (i.e. Ultramarathon to Half Marathon).
If the weather is not suitable for the race, the race will be cancelled and you will be contacted ahead of time either through email or text. This is very unlikely to happen, Cyclone Luci in 2014 hovered around us and the races still went ahead.
All competitors are required to check-in and pick up their race number on Friday between 1 – 7:30PM at Te Ahu Centre, Kaitaia. If you are registered as a team, we require you all to check in, every competitor must check in with photo ID. This will be checked again at Starting of the race.
All competitors must attend the race briefing that will take place approximately 15 minutes before your race starts at the Start Line.
All competitors must complete their race on Te Oneroa-Ā-Tōhe (Ninety Mile Beach) with a kumara. Team Relays ate to provide their own fuel refreshments for entrants waiting to participate.
All participants are expected to carry a kumara and every team relay member to collect and carry the additional kumara at each designated station. Teams must All cross over the finish line together. All participants are to “return a kumara” to the Village Pātaka.
