62KM / 35.8 MILES
For our experienced athletes - the ultramarathon is a challenging yet tranquil soft terrain course. A true test of endurance requiring determination, focus, and mana. The long race completes at the stunning Paripari Domain, Ahipara, where a festival will be set up to welcome our champions home as did Te Houtaewa mother, that long ago.
While it may seem an arduous task to complete, this experience is sure to be one for the memory books.
What makes this run unique is that you will be following in the footsteps of the Legend Te Houtaewa. As a runner, you will receive a kumara (sweet potato) at the starting line and you will be challenged with the task of returning the kumara back to Paripari Domain.
